Excitement surrounding Mirzapur: The Movie reached a new high on Monday as the makers unveiled fresh character promos featuring two of the franchise’s most iconic figures—Munna Bhaiya, played by Divyenndu, and Guddu Pandit, played by Ali Fazal. The upcoming feature film marks the official theatrical debut of one of India’s most successful streaming series.
The newly released promo for Munna Bhaiya brings back the character’s signature swagger, intense demeanour, and larger-than-life presence. Introducing him as “Munna The Prince,” the clip gives fans a sneak peek of Divyenndu reprising his fan-favourite role for the big screen.
Teasing his return on social media, the makers captioned the post, “Munna Bhaiya, sakshat A(LIVE). Miliye Munna Bhaiya se bade parde par,” sending internet users into a frenzy over the character’s cinematic resurgence.
Ali Fazal unleashes chaos as ‘Guddu The Lion’
Alongside Munna’s reveal, the makers dropped a high-energy promo focusing on Ali Fazal’s character, Guddu Pandit. Introduced as “Guddu The Lion,” the video highlights the character’s unhinged aggression, muscular presence, and raw aura.
Sharing the teaser, the studio wrote, “Inka jab mann karega aaenge, jab mann karega jaaenge. Miliye Guddu Bhaiya se bade parde par.” The cryptic line has sparked intense speculation regarding Guddu’s arc and narrative direction in the upcoming film version.
Expanding the universe for big screen
Directed by Gurmmeet Singh and written by Puneet Krishna, Mirzapur: The Movie promises to scale up the raw action, power struggles, and dark drama of the original series for a wider theatrical format.
Mirzapur: The Movie is scheduled for a pan-India theatrical release on September 4, 2026, in both Hindi and Telugu.
