Kickstarting his highly anticipated Aura India Tour 2026 in the national capital on October 30, Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh took to Instagram Live shortly after the opening performance to directly address the criticism, online trolling, and logistical hurdles surrounding the event. Striking an unbothered stance, the global icon hit back at his critics, asserting that he remains entirely unfazed by negative energy and will continue working strictly on his own terms.
‘I’m still here, baby’
Reflecting on the ongoing scrutiny from critics and media commentary, the Lover hitmaker emphasized his resilience built over two and a half decades in showbiz.
“I know a lot of people will make fun of me. Many news channels will also make fun of me and create negative energy. But no matter how much negative energy you create, I’m still here, baby. I’m not going anywhere,” Diljit said during the live stream on Friday.
Having spent 25 years navigating the entertainment industry, the artist made it clear that he retains full authority over his career trajectory, stating he will only call it quits when he personally decides to, with no plans of stopping before that.
Navigating tour challenges in India
Opening up about the operational roadblocks his team encountered while executing the Delhi leg, Diljit highlighted a stark contrast between managing international shows and performing on home turf. While choosing not to reveal the exact nature of the complications, he admitted that organizing large-scale events in India presents unique difficulties.
“When the India show starts, problems start, especially for me. I don’t know why,” he revealed, adding that despite several attempts made to stop the opening concert of his Aura India Tour 2026, the nationwide run remains fully intact.
Silence is not fear
Addressing his preferred approach to public commentary, Diljit clarified that his decision to stay silent and not address every question should never be mistaken for fear or submission.
“Just because I choose not to answer anyone’s questions does not mean I am afraid of anyone or concerned about what people say about me,” he asserted. The singer reiterated that while he is fully aware of what is being said about him behind his back, he consciously chooses not to respond because he does not consider those opinions important enough to warrant a reaction.
Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming tour
Reaffirming his commitment to his fanbase across the country, Diljit confirmed that he will remain in India through December 20 to complete the scheduled dates of his tour as planned. Following the grand Delhi opener, the performer is next scheduled to take the stage in Indore on November 15, 2026.
