Rohit Chandel, who was last seen in Sairaab, has been released from jail after two months after being taken into custody on allegations of stalking and harassing a minor. According to details shared by Mumbai Police, Chandel was apprehended on July 10, 2026, after a 16-year-old girl accused him of stalking her and repeatedly trying to contact her despite her blocking him. She also accused the actor of physically harassing her. Now, following his bail, Rohit has shared his first post on Instagram.

Sharing a picture on Instagram, Rohit Chandel quoted a Sanskrit phrase from the Hindu epic Mahabharata. It read, “Yato Dharmastato Jayah,” which means, “Where there is Dharma, there is victory.”

After the news of his bail made headlines, Rohit’s brother, Mohit Chandel, shared an Instagram post that read, “Our family feels a profound sense of relief and deep gratitude today as the Honourable Court has granted bail to Rohit. After enduring what has been the most painful period of our lives, we are overjoyed to finally welcome him back home.”
He further wrote that the family always had absolute faith in the judiciary and the decision of Rohit’s bail established more faith in the institution and how truth always prevails.
While the case hasn’t been closed, the actor’s brother said they will fully cooperate with the legal process. Mohit also expressed his gratitude towards their advocate, Saveena Bedi Sachar, as well as to Rohit’s fans for their wishes.
He wrote, “Your unwavering love, prayers, and steadfast support kept our family strong through our darkest moments.”
Rohit is yet to issue an official statement on the matter. Following his arrest, the makers of Sairaab replaced him with Krishna Kaul.
After news of Rohit’s bail was made official, his co-star Madirakshi Mundle told Telly Talk India, and said, “I am genuinely very happy and deeply relieved that Rohit is finally out and able to be with his family again. These past two months have been an extremely difficult and emotional phase, not just for him and his family, but also for those of us who have been standing by them. I have been in touch with his family almost every day, and in whatever little way I could, I have genuinely tried to be there for them and support them through this difficult time.”
