LPG cylinder and PNG consumers should watch out for several key updates from November 1, 2026. While a set of relevant changes may affect prices, other requirements such as Aadhaar-based authentication, cylinder booking, and delivery verification are likely to extend into the new month.
According to media reports, not all rules coming into effect in November are new. Several are existing mandates set to face stringent enforcement starting next month. Among the biggest developments to keep an eye on is the monthly price revision of the 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder. Any changes in price on November 1 will depend on announcements made by state-run Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs).
Aadhaar e-KYC and LPG subsidy
Biometric Aadhaar authentication is mandatory for eligible consumers seeking subsidised refills at the regulated retail selling price. The e-KYC requirement took effect on October 1, 2026. Households who fail to complete the process may be blocked from booking refills until the completion of verification, reports stated.

What about PNG Connections?
Eligible consumers who obtain a PNG connection should follow the applicable rules for existing domestic LPG connections. Under the May 2026 changes, such households must obtain a transfer voucher for future use in a non-PNG location within 30 days of obtaining it. Meanwhile, they must apply to terminate the LPG cylinder connection.Consumers should, however, check official announcements or updates before assuming that changes in rates and procedures will roll out on November 1.
